Resource Centre – Week #19(Pass It On)

Before I set up this week’s Resource Centre for all the great ideas that can be shared can I ask you to do something for me first?

As you may know Christine Mosler is going to Mozambique next week to follow a vaccine and see the work of Save the Children. The visit is part of the campaign ‘Pass It On’ to raise awareness of the huge number of children who die from childhood diseases that we have eradicated in this country. There are various ‘online’ events going on: Gift Tag from Paula Battle, crafty blog hop from Maggy & Josie and a special 100 Word Challenge here on the Head’s Office! So there is plenty to get involved in.

However, the one thing you MUST do is sign the petition here or text JAB to  84118

Right, now for this week’s Resource Centre. It is half term in the UK so teachers will be using the time to plan for the last term of the year. So we need lots of ideas please. As usual, if you visit a blog, please leave a comment to let the owner know and let them know your thoughts on their idea. That way we can make sure that activities are appropriate for the classroom.

Let’s get sharing and DON’T FORGET TO SIGN THE PETITION!

I signed your petition! I support the idea that vaccines for everyone, and that “idea” should turn into “fact” soon! Talking about the legacy of heroes…what you’re doing right now is an act of heroism.  Arthur Ashe said, “True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.”  Keep up the good work, and have a wonderful weekend.
