A new study of 3000 parents of children aged between 12 and 15 years old by Stop Procrastinating, the productivity website, has discovered that a majority of parents have found that their children using social media and browsing the web when they should be sleeping. The resulting drop in concentration the next day at school had a marked impact on school performance.
However, the survey also quizzed parents on what techniques and strategies they use to reduce their children’s internet use. From doing something fun from organising a digital detox week with their friends to restricting screen time an hour before bed, they survey found a lot of positive advice to share with parents.
